PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program DirectorPatrick Leung, Pharm.D., BCPS, PhC Patrick Leung, Pharm.D, is the Manager of Pharmacy Clinical Services at Memorial Medical Center (MMC) and a faculty at Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency since 2002. He is also a credentialed pharmacist clinician at MMC Anticoagulation Management Service. He works collaboratively with family medicine team to manage inpatient and outpatient medication therapy. He rounds daily with a multi-disciplinary team at Intensive Care Unit. He is the pharmacy leader of MMC Antimicrobial Stewardship team. He is the Co-Chair of Clinical Competency Committee at Family Medicine Residency. Besides his teaching responsibilities at Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Leung is the MMC Pharmacy Residency Program Director and a preceptor for University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy and Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Leung is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He received his Bachelor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Washington State University. Some of his practice interests are infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, anticoagulation, and diabetes.

Adlina Chiang, B. Pharm, RPh, MBA, MPH, BS-ICT, MHA
Adlina has been a dedicated member of the MMC pharmacy team for over 20 years, with the last 15 years focused primarily on pharmacy informatics. Her work has been instrumental in advancing the use of technology to support safe, efficient, and high-quality medication use across the organization.
Originally from Washington State, Adlina relocated to Las Cruces to join MMC, bringing with her a diverse and well-rounded pharmacy background. Her experience spans hospital pharmacy, long-term care, ambulatory care, anticoagulation clinics, school-based health centers, consulting, and retail pharmacy. This broad foundation has shaped her ability to approach challenges with a systems-level perspective and a deep understanding of patient care across settings.

Brooke Irwin, PharmD
Dr. Irwin holds a multifaceted role at MMC as a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Supervisor, and Sterile Compounding & Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist, where she brings over a decade of diverse pharmacy experience to our team. In her current role, Brooke has contributed to the supervision and leadership of pharmacists and technicians. She has a breadth of experience overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with USP and regulatory standards, and leading initiatives that enhance efficiency, training, and patient safety. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing our pharmacy services and supporting the professional development of our staff.
Brooke is a dedicated mentor and preceptor to pharmacy residents, students, and technicians. Her commitment to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including the “Hospital Staff Pharmacist of the Year” from the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists and the “Living the Mission” award from St. Bernard’s Medical Center.
